Only a slave they say... a dime a dozen
But finally.
After years of struggle.
Freedom.
But once embraced this future, someone tells of the master's return
There are many who see him as a savior,
They swear that he will bring slave efficiency
Return to an imagined time of greatness
And as much as you try to describe the shared agony
Nothing comes through.
They only perceive him this way.
Ones who disagree stay silent with fear of being whipped
Or have escaped all together.
It torments you, because you know the slavemaster's father
And he is for abolition, he promises change
But his bark is bigger than his bite.
Repeatedly nothing
Nothing is changed.
Explaining the situation to the boss might remedy
Maybe go back to your slave life, it wasn't that bad
And everyone says it builds character.
Or take the opportunity
To run.
If you go back, you could save a ruined people
But you mustn't turn back...
Regression does not equal progression
When has reactionary worked
Keep contact, but do not fall
Back to where you've been
For a lifetime
Of Agony
